# Cyclone Arnab: Odisha Releases ₹19 Crore Advance Aid; 48,000 Evacuated to Shelters

**Bhubaneswar:** Odisha Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari chaired a high-level review meeting at the Rajiv Bhawan State Emergency Control Room to fine-tune preparations for **Cyclone Arnab**.

The state government has released an advance financial assistance of **₹19 crore to eight high-risk districts** expected to bear the brunt of the storm. In a massive evacuation drive, the administration has already shifted approximately **48,000 people to safer cyclone shelters** as a precautionary measure.

Minister Pujari directed field officials to ensure all shelters are fully operational with essential amenities, reinforcing that the state machinery is on high alert to handle any emergency. Urging citizens to remain calm, the government advised the public to rely strictly on official updates and cooperate with local authorities to ensure zero casualties.
