The review meeting took place in Siliguri with West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari and senior administrative officials.
The Government of West Bengal has dedicated specific toll-free channels for public grievances:
📞 155334 – To report illegal commissions or “cut money”.
📞 155335 – To report syndicate-related corruption and extortion.📞 155337 – To report illegal roadside tax or unauthorized toll collection.
📞 155339 – To report bootlegging and illegal liquor activities.
The control room operates initially from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM at Nabanna, with plans to transition into a 24/7 service.
The state is using artificial intelligence to automatically screen, process, and route public calls to corresponding law enforcement wings
Citizens are permitted to lodge complaints anonymously, though all incoming calls are recorded for administrative retrieval.
Authorities have explicitly cautioned that sharing false information or utilizing the grievance line to settle personal disputes will attract strict legal penalties
