# JHARSUGUDA YOUTH SECURE GLOBAL TECH JOBS THROUGH VEDANTA’S ‘VEDAKSHATA’ INITIATIVE

**JHARSUGUDA** — **Thirty youths from Jharsuguda** have secured employment with leading global electronics manufacturing giants, including **Tata Electronics, Foxconn, and Dixon Technologies**, after completing training under Vedanta Aluminium’s flagship skill development program, **‘Vedakshata’**. The latest batch of graduates, trained as mobile hardware repair technicians, represents the growing impact of the initiative. Launched in 2025, 'Vedakshata' aims to bridge the employability gap for youth in the communities surrounding Vedanta's operations in Jharsuguda.

**Gender-Based Placements:** Female trainees from the latest batch secured roles at Tata Electronics and Foxconn in Bengaluru, while male trainees were hired by Dixon Technologies in Chennai.
**Rapid Scale:** The project has trained more than 120 youths since its inception. Earlier this year, 60 individuals received training in mobile repair and food & beverage services, followed by another 30 participants completing the hospitality module.
**Industry Alignment:** The curriculum equips local youth with technical expertise, practical learning, workplace readiness, and dedicated placement support to enter India's fast-growing electronics manufacturing ecosystem.

rainees received their official job offer letters and course completion certificates during a valedictory ceremony at the 'Vedakshata' center in Jharsuguda, attended by senior company representatives."This training has helped me acquire practical technical skills and understand what is expected in a professional workplace," said **Jayashree Naik**, a trainee from the Jamera area. "Securing employment right after the training has given me the confidence to launch my career and support my family."

The 'Vedakshata' program is part of Vedanta Aluminium's larger corporate social responsibility footprint in the region. The company’s community development programs in education, healthcare, livelihoods, and sports have reached over** many people** in the Jharsuguda district. Furthermore, its women empowerment initiatives support more than **5,300 women** through 500 self-help groups and cooperatives.
