# Massive Infrastructure Push: Odisha Revenue Minister Gifts Projects Worth ₹28 Crore to Jharsuguda and Lakhanpur Blocks

**JHARSUGUDA** — In a major boost to regional connectivity and administrative infrastructure, **Odisha Revenue and Disaster Management Minister [Suresh Pujari](https://www.google.com/search?kgmid=%2Fg%2F11flbt8gn3&q=Suresh+Pujari)** has greenlit a massive development package worth **₹27.97 crore** (₹2,796.85 lakh) for the Jharsuguda and Lakhanpur blocks. The Minister laid the foundation stones for seven critical infrastructure projects designed to upgrade rural roadways, construct vital bridges, and improve public delivery services.

he developmental package focuses heavily on strengthening communication lifelines and providing all-weather connectivity across rural pockets.

**Major Connectivity and Roadway Upgrades**

Among the highlights of the infrastructure drive is the foundation stone laying for two high-priority roadways:

- **Greendola to Rishibahali Road:** Approved under the *Mukhyamantri Sadak Yojana*, the construction of this stretch will receive an estimated investment of **₹360.00 lakh**.

- **NH-49 to Beheraguda Chowk Connectivity:** The critical connecting corridor passing via Junian Lalumunda will undergo a complete transformation at a cost of **₹447.00 lakh**.

**Strategic Bridge Constructions Launched**

To ensure uninterrupted transportation, especially during the monsoon seasons, five new bridge projects have been sanctioned:

- **NH-49 Linkages via Baunsenpali:** Two massive bridge networks to link NH-49 are being undertaken—one via Banjipali at an estimated cost of **₹383.92 lakh**, and a second route via Kadamghat at **₹381.63 lakh**.

**Strengthening Public Administration**

Moving beyond road infrastructure, the Minister also laid the foundation stone for the construction of a dedicated **Assistant Labour Officer's office building** in the region. Funded with an estimated outlay of **₹234.70 lakh**, this administrative facility aims to streamline local governance and offer faster public services to the labor workforce in the industrial belt.

Addressing the gatherings, Minister Pujari reiterated the state government's absolute commitment to accelerating grassroots development, emphasizing that robust road-and-bridge networks form the backbone of economic growth and livelihood improvement in Lakhanpur and then  the Minister announced the official commencement of the **₹2,100 crore expansion of National Highway 49**, which will widen the stretch from Kanktura to Jharsuguda into a four-lane highway. Furthermore, he declared that the highly anticipated **bridge over the Ib River** is nearing completion and will be officially inaugurated within a month. Local authorities have been instructed to ensure the timely and high-quality execution of these newly launched projects.
