JHARSUGUDA- The ongoing controversy surrounding the under-construction bus stand in Brajrajnagar, Jharsuguda, escalated further on Monday as local residents stepped in to demand the immediate completion of the project.
A delegation of local citizens submitted a formal memorandum to the District Collector, strongly urging the administration not to halt construction work under any circumstances. Emphasizing the immense public benefit of the upcoming facility, the residents specifically requested that the bus stand be constructed at the designated.
The project is currently being executed by the district administration in strict compliance with a court order. While the administration recently conducted a comprehensive review of the ongoing work, opposing factions have sparked a debate over its location.
However, the residents who submitted the memorandum argued that delaying or shifting the project would deprive the local population of much-needed infrastructure. They highlighted that a modern bus stand at the current site is crucial for improving regional connectivity and alleviating daily commuting challenges.
