Youth & Community Focus: Navaratri Gift: Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari Unveils New Community Projects, Enrolls 400+ Youths for Skill Training
JHARSUGUDA: On the auspicious occasion of the first day of Navaratri, Odisha Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari launched a series of major development projects for his constituency, promising comprehensive growth and infrastructural upgrades within his current term.
As part of the developmental blitz, Minister Pujari inaugurated a new community center at Gandhi Chowk and the renovated, historically significant drama pandal in Brajrajnagar, which had long been in a dilapidated condition. Aiming to boost local economy and education, he also laid the foundation stones for a modern market complex and a state-of-the-art library dedicated to local children. In Lajkura, a grand gaushala (cow shelter) was officially inaugurated to promote animal welfare in the region.
Boost for Youth Employment and Infrastructure
Focusing on youth empowerment, a mass youth gathering was organized in Lakhanpur. During the event, over 400 local youths were enrolled for specialized skill training, backed by a formal assurance of subsequent employment placements in nearby factories.
On the infrastructure front, the Minister announced the official commencement of the ₹2,100 crore expansion of National Highway 49, which will widen the stretch from Kanktura to Jharsuguda into a four-lane highway. Furthermore, he declared that the highly anticipated bridge over the Ib River is nearing completion and will be officially inaugurated within a month.
Invoking Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s governance mantra—“Inaugurate the very project for which the foundation stone was laid”—Pujari reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to timely execution, assuring residents that all local demands would be strictly fulfilled during his tenure.
