OPSC Exam to Proceed as Scheduled, Govt to Provide Transport for Flood-Affected Candidates: Minister
BHUBANESWAR: Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari has clarified that the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) examination will be held exactly as scheduled, ruling out any postponement. Addressing concerns regarding the recent floods, the minister emphasized that delaying the exam now could push the entire recruitment process back by nearly six months.
Acknowledging the logistical hurdles faced by aspirants in inundated zones, Minister Pujari stated that around 325 candidates from Ganjam and nearly 100 candidates from other flood-affected districts are expected to appear for the test. To ensure no candidate is left behind, the state government has officially taken the responsibility to arrange and guarantee safe transportation for these students to their respective examination centres.
